What is Unity?

Unity is positive, practical Christianity Movement. It teaches the practical application in everyday life of the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ, as interpreted in the light of modern-day experience by Unity World Headquarters and the Association of Unity Churches. Unity is a way of life that leads to health, prosperity, happiness, and peace of mind. The Association of Unity Churches, in cooperation with Unity World Headquarters, has established centers of study and worship throughout the world where people study and practice the Unity way of life.

We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. Therefore, we recognize the importance of serving all people within the Unity family in spiritually and emotionally caring ways. We strive for our ministries, publications, and programs to reach out to all who seek Unity support and spiritual growth. It is imperative that our ministries and outreaches be free of discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age, creed, religion, national origin, ethnicity, physical disability, or sexual orientation. Our sincere desire is to create spiritually aware organizations that are nondiscriminatory and that support diversity.

We encourage ministers, teachers, and others within Unity to honor the strength of diversity within their spiritual communities. It is with love and in celebration of our unity, in the midst of our wondrous diversity, that we affirm this position.

It is our intention that you feel welcome, whether you are visiting our Internet ministry or are a guest at our Sunday services.

If you choose to visit us on a Sunday, the service is from 9:30am to approximately 10:30am:

We want you to be comfortable as a guest, so here are a few things you may wish to know

  • We offer name tags to anyone who would care to wear one, and please feel free to sign our guest book.
  • We have a great youth education program on Sundays, so if you bring your children, one of our welcome team would enjoy introducing you and your children to our Youth Education Leaders, with whom they can spend the morning.
  • We open our services with music, announcements, prayer and a brief prayerful meditation.
  • Near the end of the service, we like to welcome our new guests with a special gift packet. If you prefer to not be identified as a guest, that is certainly okay too. You may request your gift, if you would like one, from our welcome table after the service.
  • We bring the youth into the sanctuary at the end of the service for a blessing, and we circle the sanctuary and sing the "Peace Song" - Let There Be Peace On Earth. No one is required to sing, but if you feel moved, please join in!
  • Please join us for fellowship! We love to meet new people. We are not about "selling" our beliefs, or our church, to our guests or trying to convert you. It is part of our teachings to honor all paths to God. And we know that finding the right church is a very personal process, that can take careful effort. We too were all guests at one time, and remember what that can be like!  We do however, love to talk, and we would be honored to meet you, perhaps learn a little bit about your path if you wish to share, and we would love to say "Thank You" for coming by as our guest.
