Compassion 10-12-2008 PDF Print E-mail

I realize that I am always free to let go and observe my life.

The more I listen the more profound the silence becomes.

Dyer describes the compassionate witness as the noticer. You are not your problems, your frustrations, or even your physical life; you are that which is noticing it all. Think of a problem or a frustration and observe it from the place of the compassionate witness. Consider using the third party to describe what is/was happening to you.

Observe your body, your mind, your life energy, and the world around you, calling upon the compassionate witness. Notice the shifts in energy. How difficult or easy is it to detach from the rightness or wrongness of what you observe? Allow space between the noticings. Be aware of what comes to you during these spaces.

This week practicing using non-judgmental compassionate witness in your life.

COMPASSION

On my sacred quest I easily and effortlessly embrace compassion. Compassion is developed by viewing myself and my world through the eyes of the inner compassionate witness. From this view, I gain the freedom of witnessing and observing my life from the Godforce within, wrapping me in love and peace.

THIS WEEKS AFFIRMATION:

I, _____________, shift my perception and cultivate the higher aspect of myself known as the compassionate witness. I am the compassionate observer. I enter the place of pure love.

This series of talks are inspired by Dr. Wayne Dyer’s book,

Your Sacred Self.
