My past is nothing more than the trail that I have left behind. What drives my life today is the energy that I generate in my present moments.

I rid myself of my doubts by remembering that there is a valid reason for everything that happens.

Dyer lists the following “false” beliefs:

  • More is better.

  • Externals are to blame for the conditions of my life.

  • Idealism can’t coexist with realism.

  • There is only one existence and it is physical.

  • We are separate and distinct from everyone else.

  • There is an “us” versus a “them.”

  • Petty tyrants should be ignored.

  • Goals are essential for success.

  • You must always do your best.

  • Dreams are not a reality.

Pick a belief you would like to release. How has it impacted your life?

What is the new, true knowing you wish to replace it with?

What is the difference between knowing and believing?

Share some things you know and some things you believe. How can you change belief to knowing?

Think of times when doubt and fear have taken over in your life. What triggers these emotions? How might you overcome fear and doubt in your life this week?

RELEASE

On my sacred quest I easily and effortlessly embrace release. With great love and respect, I release my personal history. I release and let go of all beliefs that convince me of any perceived inadequacies and shortcomings. I empty the closet of my mind of all limiting thoughts.

I, _________________, release the past and look without judgment on the present. I place the present in the hands of God and so release the future.
